Here it is - the information you've ALL been waiting for!
MacSymposium has, on behalf of its public, obtained a number of rooms for people going to the MacWorld Exposition in January.
The hotel is the Best Western Americania, located on Seventh Street, almost midway between the two exhibit halls. Here's more information on the hotel, and the phone numbers you need to call to make reservations:
Family plan, kitchesn, valet/laundry service, pool, sauna,
cafe, bar, restaurant, free parking, queen-sized beds standard,
hardwired phones
415-626-0200
800-227-4368
800-622-0797 California
Their special MacSymposium price is $60 per night for a single, $66 for a double.
Granted, this isn't a big discount on their normal rates, but the Best Western Americania has been designated the official "MacSymposium" hotel, and you'll find most of the MacSym staff staying there. It's a convenient place between both exhibit halls that's clean and comfortable, without the high prices!
Not only that, but one night of the Expo MacSymposium will be hosting a hospitality suite, where you can come and meet IN PERSON those other great people you've been conversing with over the airwaves.
MacSymposium staff will be there as well, and there might even be a couple of Macintoshes hooked up to allow demonstrations and to answer questions. Keep your eyes peeled here for more details.
Again, to make sure you get the MacSymposium rate, call the above numbers and ask for the "Mac Symposium" room block. We only have a certain number of rooms guaranteed - don't be locked out and have to pay those high prices!
If you have any questions, drop me a line at FERINO1 and I'll do my best to get your question answered as soon as possible!

MacSymposiumâ„¢
Pat -
This folder is a nice idea! Thanks for setting it up!
BMUG will be at MW Expo/SF, of course, with our "Newsletter" (book, really) thingy, as well as our PD library and other goodies. We'll be hosting a party on Friday night of Expo, and our regular meeting on Thursday evening. Stay tuned for details.
